Asset Placement in SketchUp for Mac is achieved via the Enscape Asset Library from within the SketchUp toolbar only. This option is not available within the Enscape User Interface (UI). The Asset Library dialog that opens via the SketchUp toolbar, only allows Single Asset Placement and it does not require the Enscape UI to be open to use this function.

Placing the asset in a SketchUp project can be easily achieved because SketchUp will indicate placement to a surface with ‘On Face’ being displayed in the SketchUp viewport. The asset will stick to your mouse movement until the location for the asset has been chosen and you have clicked in the SketchUp viewport. This will place the asset, which will be instantly displayed in the Enscape window as long as Enscape’s Live Updates is enabled.
In the SketchUp window the asset will be displayed in white, and another of the same asset becomes immediately available for placement, useful for placing multiple instances of an asset. To cancel any further placement of the asset pressing the [ESC] key will exit the Asset Library.
Adjusting the asset’s rotation or position further must be done after asset placement using the native SketchUp tools.
